Jin Kang
Jin Kang, formerly executive vice president and chief operations officer at WidePoint (NYSE: WYY), has been promoted to president and CEO at the McLean, Virginia-based managed mobility services provider.
He will serve as a member of WidePoints board of directors and succeeds Jeff Nyweide, who resigned from his posts six months after he joined WidePoint in January, the company said Wednesday.
Kang moved to WidePoint in 2008 after the acquisition of iSYS, a company he founded in 1999 and now operates as WidePoint Integrated Solutions.
He held senior management roles at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and has more than three decades experience in business development, technology and financial management in the information technology area.
Jason Holloway, EVP and chief sales and marketing officer at WidePoint, has assumed additional responsibilities as president and CEO of the firms cybersecurity solutions subsidiary.
The 25-year IT veteran co-founded Nexcentri, where he served as president and CEO through 2013, and held similar roles at Networked Knowledge Systems.
