Harris to Supply Sonobuoy Launchers for Boeing-Built Navy Poseidon Aircraft


TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 2, 2017 ” Boeing (NYSE: BA) has awarded multiple contracts to Harris (NYSE: HRS) in the third quarter of fiscal 2017 for the supply of sonobuoy launchers for 49 U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Harris said Wednesday it will provide single-shot and rotary launchers for U.S., Australian, Norwegian and British aircraft in support of underwater acoustic surveillance for anti-submarine operations.
