Rick Marcotte, chairman of the board of directors at DLT Solutions, has been named interim CEO at the Herndon, Virginia-based government technology services contractor, CRN reported Thursday.
DLT said in an emailed statement to CRN that Marcotte will lead the company on an acting basis until the board finds a permanent replacement for former CEO Alan Marc Smith, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017.
Michael Novinson writes Marcotte served as DLTs chief executive between 2004 and 2015 and led the management buyout of the firm from DLT founder Thomas Marrellis heirs in 2005.
Prior to DLT, Marcotte served as a vice president at Troxler Electronic Laboratories, where he spearheaded sales and marketing initiatives.
He spent 14 years at Invensys as a VP and senior executive of two of the U.K.-based telecommunications power systems providers operating divisions.
Marcotte also worked at Invensys U.S. arm Powerware, where he held the role of director of the U.S. channel sales group and federal systems business segment.
