Richard Foster, a 35-year veteran of the Canadian armed forces and a retired major general, has been appointed corporate vice president of L3 Technologies‘ (NYSE: LLL) business unit in Canada.
He will manage L3 Canada‘s overall operations and coordinate with the subsidiary’s business development team to help expand its customer base, the company said Wednesday.
“His extensive military experience and work with foreign governments are particularly well-suited to delivering L3s broad portfolio of readiness, upgrade, sensor and modernization technologies and services to allied countries across the globe,” L3 Chairman and CEO Michael Strianese.
Foster previously held the roles of deputy commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Joint Operations Command.
He was also awarded a Commander of the Order of Military Merit by the Governor General of Canada for his outstanding leadership and service.
