Boeing said Friday the 29-year company veteran will succeed Jim OâNeill, who will retire in 2017 after more than 30 years with Boeing.
âPatâs experience across commercial and defense programs will help us grow a stable of strong development programs on the foundation that Jim put in place, â said Leanne Caret, who was appointed president and CEO of Boeingâs defense, space and security segment in February.
Goggin, who previously served as VP of Boeingâs Development Program Excellence initiative, Â will take on his new role in December as part of the transition period.
The BDS development segment is responsible for the pre-production stages of space and defense programs.
Gogginâs appointment comes nearly two months after Boeing promoted Jim Chilton to president of the aerospace company’s network and space systems business that generates nearly $7.8 billion in annual revenue.
