Harris Lands Potential $91M IDIQ to Produce Airborne EW Tech for Multiple Intl Defense Clients


HARRISHarris (NYSE: HRS) has received a potential three-year,  $91 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to build electronic warfare systems for multiple foreign military sales customers.

The Defense Department said Friday the contract covers the production of AN/ALQ-211(V)4/8/9 Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Suite systems, software, and associated support equipment for international participants in the Electronic Combat International Security Assistance Program.

The company will also provide AN/ALE-47 countermeasures dispensing systems to AIDEWS (V)4 users and ALE-47 threat adaptive countermeasure dispensing systems to AIDEWS (V)8 users, DoD added.

Work will occur in Clifton, New Jersey through Nov. 18, 2019.

DoD said that Morocco placed the first order under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

AIDEWS is a modular pod-based technology comprised of radar warning and radio frequency countermeasure systems designed for different kinds of fighter aircraft, according to Harris.
