Army Orders Additional BAE Missile Warning Systems, Support Services for $249M


Bae systems logo_ExecutiveBizBAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary has received a two-year, $249.4 million contract modification to produce common missile warning systems and spares for the U.S. Army.

The Defense Department said Friday the modification also covers systems engineering, technical support and logistics services.

BAE Systems Inc. will carry out work through Sept. 30, 2018, and the military branch will provide funds and performance location upon issuance of each order.

BAE’s AN/AAR-57 CMWS technology is designed to provide missile warning for rotary-and fixed-wing aircraft to defend against infrared missile threats.
