Boeing will perform repair work on the F/A-18 E/F multirole fighter aircraft and EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft in Jacksonville, Florida, through December 2019, the Defense Department said Monday.
The order falls under a previously awarded basic ordering agreement and the Navy obligated $74.2 million in fiscal 2016 working capital funds at the time of award.
The F/A-18 is a twin-engine fighter jet that lands and takes off from an aircraft carrier while the EA-18G conducts tactical jamming and electronic protection for U.S. and international military forces.
