Parsons Appoints William Crosbie SVP & Transport Business Development Director


ParsonsWilliam Crosbie, former Amtrak chief operating officer, has been named Parsons‘ senior vice president and business development director for its transport division, which provides engineering and management support for aviation, rail transits and ports and harbors.

Crosbie will manage the development and implementation of the division’s growth strategies, as well as help drive customer satisfaction and project quality, Parsons said Thursday.

“Our current and potential customers can have the utmost confidence that Bill will understand their unique needs and bring them the best solutions, ” said Michael Johnson, Parsons group president.

“That™s because he™s been in their shoes and knows the responsibilities, concerns and challenges they face with infrastructure project planning, design and delivery, as well as operations and maintenance.”

Crosbie, a registered professional engineer,  has been in the transportation engineering business for more than 30 years with experience in cybersecurity and rail infrastructure protection and has worked with Parsons before as its railroad program vice president.

He has a master’s degree in security studies from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and was on the board of directors of the Washington Union Station Redevelopment Corporation and the Chicago Union Station.
