Abt said Friday Perlin, who joined the company’s board in 2012, will bring more than 30 years of finance experience in for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

Perlin has also served in various senior financial roles for the World Bank, Federal National Mortgage Association and the United Way of the National Capital Area.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s degree in public administration with specialization in economics and public policy from Princeton University.
