L-3 unit Vertex Aerospace will perform post-production, aircraft maintenance and materials delivery for Marine Corps Reserve C-12 as well as Navy TC-12B trainer aircraft, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
Vertex Aerospace will carry out the task in the U.S., Bahrain, Cuba and Japan under the firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery contract and is scheduled to complete work in July 2021.
The Naval Air Systems Command received five bids for the contract via an electronic request for proposals.
C-12, manufactured by Hawker Beechcraft Corp., is designed to transport personnel and cargo, perform range clearance, provide medical evacuation, aid in humanitarian rescue missions, train pilots and test assets.
