Albuquerque, New Mexico-based satellite and spacecraft solar panel manufacturer SolAero Technologies has bought San Diego, California-based aerospace components producer Vanguard Space Technologies from Enlightenment Capital for an undisclosed sum.
SolAero and Vanguard plan to combine their core offerings in an effort to create value for customers worldwide, SolAero CEO Brad Clevenger said in a statement released Wednesday.
Vanguard will be integrated into SolAero’s composite structures manufacturing unit Alliance Spacesystems.
SolAero is a portfolio company of Veritas Capital and offers solar panel and cell products to satellite and spacecraft original equipment manufacturers as well as composite and metallic components for the production of military and commercial satellite propulsion, electronic and power systems.
It also offers technical support services to government- or privately-funded space power technology research and development projects.
