L-3 Comm.’s EPS Grows 8%, C3ISR Sales 13% in 3rd Quarter

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) released its third quarter financial results on Oct. 27, 2011.

The company reported that its diluted earnings per share increased eight percent over the third quarter of 2010 to $2.24 from $2.07.

L-3 Chairman, President and CEO Michael Strianese said C3ISR sales grew by 13 percent over that period. He also said recent intelligence and cyber support contract wins led strong sales for its government services and contractor logistics support operations.

“Looking forward, our focus will be on strengthening the company by continuing our outstanding program performance, providing affordable solutions that address customer imperatives and deploying our capital and free cash flow in a balanced and disciplined manner to enhance shareholder value, ” said Strianese.
