Apptis, Deltek Partner to Bring the Cloud to the Federal Government

Apptis and Deltek announced a partnership to deliver Deltek’s enterprise project management software in the cloud for federal agencies. By leveraging the scalability and power of a cloud computing environment, the breakthrough solution will deliver a substantially more cost-efficient technology infrastructure to federal agencies tasked with adhering to the mandates announced by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

“Cloud computing is a fundamental advance in information technology that will drastically reduce the cost of the IT infrastructure, ” said Bert Notini, Apptis CEO. “To date, Apptis has seen great success using the cloud to streamline critical business operations. In one notable example leveraging the Amazon Web Services Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2) platform and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), we reduced the time to generate critical budgeting and forecasting reports by a factor of twenty, saving both time and money. By partnering with Deltek, we now will deliver similar efficiencies to federal agencies that need Deltek’s project management solutions to keep projects on-time and on-budget.”

“In our ongoing efforts to drive innovation for our customers, we are very excited to partner with Apptis to deliver Deltek’s leading software solutions through the cloud, ” said Kevin Parker, president and CEO of Deltek. “Cloud-based computing – combined with improving transparency and accountability offered through the Federal IT Dashboard – are high priority initiatives mandated by OMB. With this revolutionary new offering from Deltek and Apptis, the government can simplify and fulfill both of these mandates through one integrated, on-demand solution. Apptis is a great partner for Deltek, and we look forward to leveraging their market-leading services along with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) offering and infrastructure to deliver value for our hundreds of federal customers.”
