News- Employees of Northrop Grumman Donate $2.4 Million

Employees of Northrop Grumman have donated approximately $2.4 million to United Way. The Shipbuilding sector raised the money from September to October, in which employees could donate money to charity in their area.

Carolyn Moore, United Way’s chief professional officer for two counties in Mississippi, said “Northrop Grumman employees have always been so giving to our community, and we are thankful to all employees who gave to United Way in 2009. We have a great partnership with Northrop Grumman — together we will continue to make Jackson and George counties stronger and better communities.”

Bill Ermatinger, sector VP of human resources and administration at Northrop Grumman, said “We’re sending powerful messages with our contribution — we not only build ships, we build communities. Each shipbuilder had a hand in that.”
