Perot Systems has announced that they have signed an agreement with the Hunan Provincial Government of the People’s Republic of China and will be supplying IT consulting to their healthcare providers and public health groups. The contract is part of the Regional Health Information Platform of the Hunan Province, and Perot Systems will launch the program.
The company will begin health IT reforms in the capital of Hunan Province, Changsha, and move on to other hospitals and healthcare groups in the region. Perot Systems is going to create a regional health IT platform that includes infrastructure support and electronic health records, as part of a health care information exchange network.

The use of health information technology and solutions will enhance care and create a new standard for efficient delivery for the citizens of this province, ” said Chairman of Perot Systems, Ross Perot, Jr.
