General Dynamics Awarded $33 Million U.S. Navy Contract

The Bath Iron Works division of General Dynamics has won a $33.1 million contract modification to grant continuous lead yard services for the DDG 51 Arleigh Burke-class Aegis destroyer program.

Bath Iron Works has provided support in program management, engineering, and design for the Arleigh Burke-class ships since 1987. According to General Dynamics, the agreement is a modification on the contract originally awarded to General Dynamics in November 2005.

The modifications for the Falls Church-based General Dynamics include work related to the DDG 51 restart and upgrades associated with Aegis combat systems.
